Our Way of Communication

Kazakh are very hospitable, usually open minded and friendly to foreigners.

Our Appearance and Style of Dress

In Kazakhstan you can see the big difference between social classes of society, even in the style of dress. For example, people from upper level class usually wear clothing from famous companies; however, people from lower level class wear cheap clothing.

What, When and How We Eat

Definitely Kazakh food is healthier than American. Our main dish is meat-beef, lamb (not pork because Kazakhstan is Muslim country) with different prepared vegetable or pastry. I noticed that Kazakh more often eat soup than American.

We prefer eat food at home, not in the restaurant, but on the weekend or holyday usually all family go to the restaurant. Our food timetable is:

Breakfast: some hot drink (coffee, tea) with fried eggs or toast – between 6AM to 10AM

Lunch: salad, soup and meat with vegetable or pasta – between 12noon to 2PM

Dinner: salad, soup or dish with meat and vegetable – between 7PM to 9PM

Our Commitment to Time Schedules

We are usually punctual because we donft have a terrible traffic problem in Kazakhstan. However, in a company meeting high level job workers can be late about 15 minutes in order to show they are important and busy.

8 March - Womenfs Day

22 March - Day of Unity of peoples of Kazakhstan

9 May - Victory Day

30 August - Constituent Day

25 October - Republic Day

How Much Space We Like Around Us

I think it depends on each person. Generally, we are open to everybody. On the other hand, we donft say ghello, how are you?h to everyone but only to acquaintance.

How We Like to Be Recognized and Rewarded

First of all, we work in teams and it is ok when recognized and reward the direct hand of the team. You can see in Kazakh companiesf clear line between high-level workers and clerks. We are not unceremonious with boss.

Our Relationship With Others and Authority

Kazakhstan is democratic republic, but we donft have any opposite party, and it is our problem because we canft really tells something negative about our president.

Our Outlook and Attitude Toward Life

It is still a problem in my country to be a businesswoman. Men prefer to make deals with men. We are trying to change this opinion. Men donft perceive seriously businesswomen. However, they can work with foreigner businesswomen.

Kazakhstan takes the 9th place among the richest reserve of oil and gas. We pin onefs hope that in the future my country will be rich like Arabic countries. Also, we have major deposits of coal, iron ore, manganese, chrome ore, nickel, cobalt, copper, molybdenum, lead, zinc, bauxite, gold and uranium.

We like to spend free time with family, friends. We like fishing, camping, climbing to the mountains.
